Friday- Favorite Fotos (Photos)....

I love looking through my old photos. I have really enjoyed recently going through Danielle's baby books, now that she has a baby of her own. Danielle and Emree look a lot a like. Sometimes it's like turning that clock back a few twenty years....

This picture of Danielle was taken when she was about 11 months old. A friend of mine had given me this cute little 'bikini' for a shower gift. I felt a little risque at the time having her wear it, but thought it is was okay since I hadn't bought it.

We went a couple of years together as a family to spend a weekend in Salt Lake City. The kids swam and they had a little miniature golf course as well. WE ate out and got to visit with each other. This same year, Jordan, after swimming was playing with his two cousins-Brandon and Kelly and watching their dad's play miniature golf. He decided he really needed to go to the bathroom and decided that one of the holes in the course looked like a PERFECT spot. His two cousins saw him and thought, 'Great Minds Think Alike', and followed. It was pretty funny. And yes, we have it on video. (Just waiting for that wedding video---Jordan.)

California here we CAME.....

Mackenzie, Easton and I spent a week in California with Tyler, Danielle and Emree. They are living in Irvine, close to Tyler's family for six months and Tyler is selling Food Storage. We flew into Long Beach airport and were greeted by this:

Yeah, just that was worth the whole trip.... We sorta made the decision at the last minute. Unfortunately Reid had to stay home to take care of his fields and his flocks.... but we went without him and missed him the whole time. We loved seeing where Danielle and Tyler are spending their time these days. We did lots of fun things. We drove straight from the airport to In & Out and had some deliciousness. The next day we went to Harry Potter, amazing Chinese food and took a ferry to Newport Beach. WE did a little sunbathing and sand castle building. I'm not sure Emree love's the beach, but she looks OH SO CUTE in her swimsuit....

The following day we all went to SEA WORLD. Mackenzie, Easton and I had been a couple of years ago when Danielle got married, but Tyler and Danielle had not been for YEARS. It was a fun day. We saw EVERY show but the pet one and only got a little sunburned....(sorry Emree...).

The next day was spent doing a little cleaning at Tyler's folks--his brother was returning from a mission in Estonia, and then off to the 'The Spectrum' for some shopping and eating. We got Emree a new sun hat so Danielle and Kenzie wanted one too....

Sunday we went to church with Danielle and Tyler and enjoyed meeting some of their friends. They sang in the choir!!! (GOOD JOB!) and their chapel is next door to the Newport Beach Temple.

That night we all went to the airport to welcome home TANNER....

Monday was spent on the beach! and a delicious barbeque at the Andre's to follow...

We loved every minute we spent with Tyler, Danielle and Emree and can't wait for our next visit...

Caught up in Reality TV.....Whose she gonna choose?

Jillian

Reid

Ed

So I'm a huge fan of 'The Bachelorette'....unfortunately I'm always disappointed in the end. Actually Jason picked the girl I wanted, Melissa, but then switched at the ATFR. Last night Jillian had a choice between three, Kiptyn, Ed or Reid. I didn't post Kiptyn's picture because it was completely obvious she was not picking him. Reid was definetly my choice--(maybe it was the name). He was cute and funny and natural and affectionate and seemed perfect for Jillian. If you didn't watch it, she didn't pick him. She picked Ed. Oh sure they seem happy and all....but I was sure disappointed.

What I've begun to realize is that 99 percent of the time people pick a mate that looks just like them....Their eternal companion (or temporary if we are considering The Bachelorette and The Bachelors) could actually be their brother or sister. I have attended a lot of wedding receptions this summer with quite a few more to go and the happy couple always looks like each other. So I need your help.... Here's a picture of my son Jordan (he would kill me for this---thank heavens he doesn't read my blog.) Do you know a cute girl that looks just like him?

Monday Missionary Moments---All Together Again!

Just spent a week in California with Tyler, Danielle and Emree. (Post coming about that....) We were lucky enough to be there when Tyler's brother Tanner got home from his mission to Estonia. A very joyous reunion. It's hard letting them go for two years but its pretty 'SWEET' when they return. And why do we do it? Mission-A Missionary will leave his family for two years, so that those he teachers can be with their families for Eternity. WE also got Quinn's return date-NOVEMBER 5TH!!!!!!!

Quiet as a Mouse...

Our house has been very quiet this week. Mackenzie stayed for some sister bonding in California and Easton went on a 'High Adventure'. There has been some good....no fixing meals (sorry Reid, and let's face it-who am I kidding, I don't cook that much even when the whole family is home). The washer and dryer got a break. Their rooms stayed clean, their beds stayed made.I didn't have to stay up late every night. But all in all, I missed them ALOT. I missed the noise, the mess, the dishes, the laundry, the company, the laughs. Being a mother defines me and I love it. Welcome Home Mackenzie and Easton.

All it takes is a couple of great leaders.....

....and Easton has them. Easton and 8 other young men had their 'Court of Awards' to receive their Eagle's Wednesday night. Easton's scout leaders have been his Uncle Garth and Uncle Hugh the last two years. They have been amazing leaders dedicating many hours to these boys. They have definetly gone above and beyond the call of duty and helped these boys achieve their goals. They say that only 2% of boys that enter the scout program receive their Eagle. And we had NINE in one night from one ward.
