Quinn is somewhat of a procrastinator and VERY stubborn. He refused to fill out his college applications before he left on his mission. He'd been recruited by a couple of small schools to play basketball, one over in Seattle and another a long ways away and I wasn't too keen on the idea. At the time he wanted to go there. I wanted him to go to BYU. So neither of us did anything about it and off he went. Well time got away from us and it was time to apply SOMEWHERE before he got home so he could step into college in January. With help from Danielle, we got his applications into BYU, BYU Hawaii, and BYU Idaho. Missionary work is his top priority right now and he told me to apply anywhere he thought would be best for him.
His dad and I are BYU fans in every way. WE both went there. WE met there and fell in love. It is a GREAT education for an even better price, but its not particularly easy to get in, especially BYU Provo. The average GPA is about a 3.85 with an ACT score of about 27.4. We sent in the applications and crossed our fingers. Well the news is in---Quinn was accepted to BYU, BYU Hawaii and BYU Idaho. He said the choice is mine? Oh, so many decisions. I am open to any and all ADVICE....

Go Quinn! Provo is the place to be. I would assume he has probably had enough tropical island life to last him a while so no need to splurge for Hawaii and really, Rexburg is small and cold. Never been there... thats just what I hear :)
Oh my goodness! You get to pick the school? Whoa. I could sell any of the three to you. Does he want to play basketball at BYU-H? That would be a double fit--Polynesian culture and basketball.
It's such a great feeling when the acceptance letters come in! But please let's not talk about how much BYU costs...arggggg! Congrats to Quinn!
we want him in Provo!!! cant wait to see him
Oh my goodness!!! The choice is yours? What every mother would do for that chance. Since you asked for advice and hardly any one ever does that...I suggest serving that ball right back to him and putting it in HIS court!
Way to go Quinn! I think you will love where ever you go!
I vote for Provo. Hawaii is so far away I would think it might be like having him on a mission still, unless you intend on visiting him often and then that would be a plus! Idaho is a great place, I attended Ricks, but it is cold. Do you have any idea how cold -74 is? It's REALLY cold. Provo carries on a family tradition and I think that will mean something someday. That's my 2 cents.
Good for him!!! BYU was such a fantastic experience for me too! He's such a cutie, watch out Quinn, cute returned missionaries don't last too long~~(smile)
....or is that the plan, mom & dad?
