Just like the good 'ol days....

When the kids were young we used to LOVE going to the Aquatic Center. I would sit in the sun and sip frozen lemonade, read a good book, pick up a little suntan and the kids would play all day long in the water. Everyone was tired at night and we would all sleep good. They grew out of the Aquatic Center a long time ago and we haven't been back....but WE have a new generation now.

When the kids were all here last weekend we spent an afternoon at the Aquatic Center. Sure it happened to be cold, windy and cloudy that day....but we went anyways. WE stopped by the taco shop and got some food. WE floated in the lazy river. WE watched Jordan and Tyler surf (or fall).... It brought back some good memories. It was just like the good 'ol days.

When our kids were growing up (until we mover here) we spent most of our summer days at the pool, too. We had a family that we were friends with and we would all go together and literally stay all day. The first few years we were here I spent a lot of time in the pool, but I have only been out there 3 times this year, UGH. I am planning on using every hot day next week in the pool and sun! I love this post!

I am afraid I see the end of our Aquatic Center Days approaching and I don't like it. With London starting H.S. and involved in summer sports and both of the girls having a part time babysitting job it is obvious we are outgrowing the carefree days of summer where we have nothing else to do but hang out at the pool:(

Oh man, I LOVE this post. Good for you for reliving the past and passing on to the future. It looks like Emree will be a regular after seeing her laughing in that photo with Danielle. What a fun day. (I did wonder, however, if there would be a broken bone at the end of it . . . but without Quinn and Easton surfing your odds probably went waayyyy up.)

Looks like a blast! Isn't it fun seeing life again with a fresh pair of eyes? Watching little Emree enjoy the great things that were once forgotten. Life is good.
