Reid got a new pick-up. It's about time. I am so happy for him. He really deserved it. His old pickup had 270,000 miles on it. I don't know much about pickups but the new one is nice and has lots of bells and whistles. The thing I'm most jealous is the automatic start. He can start the truck from the house and have it warming up for him before he gets there. The thing he likes the most is his satellite radio. Reid and I do not agree on music. He love's jazz. I find it like listening to chalk on the black board. His favorite station sounds just like elevator music. When I'm in the pickup I feel like I need to push a button to the floor I'm going to. Yesterday he turned the channel from the elevator music to a sports game. Normally I would not be excited about listening to the continual drone of the sportscaster but yesterday, I've never been so glad to listen to a ballgame. It was like the elevator stopped and the door opened and I got off on my floor. Thank heavens for simple things.

You are so funny Lori! Sounds like you have a generation gap! Paul loved classical music. We had a 5 year generation gap!!!!
Dad definitely listens to elevator music... but it is something about him that makes him unique. We love him!
I'm happy for him too but for other reasons. Everytime he brings his pick-up into the PITSTOP I input the info into the computer. Of course one of the first things I notice is the mileage, Yikes!!! Then the paper work tells me that we have recommended a variety of services for QUITE some time, and these are things that are vital to the truck actually going down the road. So when I cash him out I tell him AGAIN, that with that many miles he really should think about doing some of these services. He just smiles, hangs his head in defeat and says "Yeah, I probably should." But he never did, so it's probably good that that poor old truck gets a rest!
That's awesome! Wow, 270,000 miles on it? That's crazy. Well, I'm happy for him. It was so fun to see you guys, hope to see you again soon!
