This is my very first self portrait....I have never liked pictures of myself and I like them even less when you can only get the camera as far away as the length of your arm.
I have always had bad hair. I wish I had time to scan some of my pictures as a kid. One year my mom gave me a very short 'pixie' cut. You can call it the name of a fairy but it was one very short, ugly boy's hair cut. What did I do to deserve that. My hair has just enough girl to be frizzy but not enough to be curly like my girls, or straight without trouble. Give me a day with wind, or fog or humidity and I am in trouble. It's fine and thin, but I recently had it cut and colored by Jacque at Salon Goddess and I have really been liking it. Thanks Jacque. Here our a few pictures from the past of some very bad hair days....
Shortly after meeting Reid 1982 (And he still asked me to marry him...)
My all-time personal favorite-The mullet/Bay City Roller look....(Was this a mug shot?)
The mullet/Bay City Roller with a perm (lots of tears were shed after this haircut....)
I'm still laughing at this one. ( I had terrible hair but at least I had great fashion sense....notice Reid and I match.)
I have to say when I hear other people complain about their hair I am not too sympathetic. I definetly envy other people's hair and dream of a day I can just pull it back in a pony tail....but that day is not today, so I am going to go hop in the shower and do my hair.

What a cute post! Hair styles change a lot don't they? The time I had the most consistant bad hair days was when I was Choriter in Sacrament meeting. Mostly they happen when I have to go somewhere. Wait a minite, that is always!
Those pictures are awesome! I am thinking Jon and I should coordinate more often. Your new hair cut is really cute by the way!
I love your new do!! It's really trendy!!
The matching is hilarious! I don't try to pretend you didn't pass off some of that bad hair gene on to your girls! I have you hair exactly...I just like to think I am awesome at doing my do! haha just teasing. love you mom.
I'm just curious... did you match on purpose?
Complain, complain... for those of you who may not be aware - it only takes Lori 5 mins. to do her hair! Mostly it turns out good, sometimes great and occasionally just okay, but whatever the outcome - it only takes 5 mins! After 5 mins. of blow drying, my hair is still soaking wet. So don't pity her! Well, you can pity her for the rain and the wind - it really does do a number on her hair while mine just goes flat. I used to think that was a bad thing until I saw Lori's. The elements can be a cruel hairdresser!
sweet hair through the ages and I hear ya on the humidityand wind thing...it kills my hair everytime.
Oh, my goodness...how fun!!! When I get thru at city hall today...I might post a few. After go the rounds with Joe Gavenski and Gilbert Alverado...I may need a PROZAC!!! Trust me, I have a legacy of bad hair days and bad hair cuts. I am always impressed with both the way you dress and look. YOU LOOOOOK MARVELOUS!!!! :)
I remember seeing you when I little and thinking your big 80's hair was awesome, and so pretty. :)
Oh Lori, these are fun to see. I skipped the 80's and stayed with the feathered 70's 'do...I missed some good height.
I love your new cut.
hahahaha I love the pictures and your new cut is lovely! I miss the days when I would tease it for you!
I think my mom gave me that same bad haircut too!
Those pictures are so fun to look at! I think we can all pull out some pictures with some bad hair. I have one where I tried to die my hair and it turned out neon green no joke.
Your new hairdo is adorable! And your 80's do is just that - it was the 80's, so it looks normal! I'm with Peggy, because your hair always looks good!
My mom used to dress my older brother and I alike, and then we had the matching outfits she made for the whole family - yikes!
Once I colored my own hair, and it turned out ORANGE - ugh!
Lori... this is hilarious. Mostly funny because I totally disagree, not only do you have great style but you better believe you ARE so pretty! I love your new do! I hope things are well!
I have always loved my Aunt Lori's hair I always remember thinking how pretty you were, and still are.
Hey thanks for finding me...hmm, that sounds like I don't know where I am!?!
I remember my girls telling me it doesn't matter how I cut my hair, I always end up styling it the same. I think I'm in a rut. At least you have some variety. The mullet hair-do is still worn in Butte. Gonna miss that place, it's a good 10 years behind Moses Lake if that's possible.
