Today marks Elder Quinnton Reid Baker's one year mark on a mission. Sometimes it seems like he has been gone forever, and sometimes it seems like he left yesterday. We are so very proud of him and his service to the people of Vanuatu. He has had to learn many new things, The language is difficult and different everywhere he goes. His companions have mostly been from the native islands and they are unschooled in many things. But they are working hard daily because they are committed to the Lord and his cause. They pray and study and then go out and do the Lord's work. Keep the faith Quinn! We love you for your dedication and service to the Lord. (And we miss you....)
Wow it's already been a year?! I know for you that probably didn't go by so fast! People use to say to me all the time when Bran was on his mission, "Oh it's going so fast!" And I was like, "Okay, just speak for yourself there..."
I can't to see him...i feel like he has been gone forever. I can not wait until next Christmas to sing in the kitchen with the whole family and our new little baby. There is so much to be thankful for and so much to look forward to.
It's hard to think that my little Beck will be on a mission someday! I heard your lesson was good, sad that I had a screaming kid they had to pull out of nursery so I missed it..... :)
You cannot do a Google search to gain a testimony. You can't text message faith. You gain a life-changing testimony today the same way it has always been done. It comes through desire, study, prayer, obedience and service.
I am wife of one and mother of five. I consider myself loyal, friendly, busy and hopeful. I love my husband, my children, my friends and my girls....I dream of more time to be a better wife, a better mother, a better neighbor and friend.

OH that is so cool. I found your blog through Liberty. Hope you don't mind me checking in once in awhile.
I remember when you were getting ready for him to leave. Missions are so wonderful! What a great experience for him and for your family.
